Question about my Hyacinth plant?

I received a Hyacinth as a gift. It looked pretty for about 10 months. Now it is turning brown on top. It%26#039;s been a water only plant all this time. Can I transplant it into dirt? If not, how can I find a water type container that will keep the bulb from getting submerged?

Question about my Hyacinth plant?
Yes, you can plant it in dirt. And/or any gardening shop should carry bulb vases. They are very commonly available.

It may be turning brown if you haven%26#039;t fertilized it. There are water soluable fertilizers available for aquatic gardening.
Reply:Hyacinths are Spring/Summer plants so it just might be dying off for the Winter.

You can plant it outside and it will come back next growing season.
